Excellence in design
Rufous™ is a modular, axis-symmetrical UAS helicopter with the capacity to carry multiple and varied observational sensors or specialist payloads, along with a communications capability, which can produce real-time data or picture broadcasting. As a multi-role, multi-payload air vehicle system with many civil and military applications, its mass, performance and flight characteristics allow it to operate over land and sea to provide high definition sensor capability and protection beyond the normal line of sight.
Compared with other manned and unmanned air vehicle use, Rufous™ provides greater performance and easier role changing with lower through-life costs and a significantly improved environmental profile. The agile manoeuvrability and design features mean that Rufous™ can satisfy transport and inspection needs with a safe, cost-efficient operation across civil engineering, petrochemical, maritime, sports-coverage, agriculture, power-distribution, homeland security and defence environments.
